WSS can supply & manufacture bespoke items from wear resistant grades of rubber & plastics including
We are UK distributors for the Duroflex range of belt cleaning equipment, these scrapers are both cost effective & easy to install. We can offer a survey & installation service if required.
WSS can offer a service agreement that is right for you, we will travel to site and maintain your belt cleaners in a pro-active manner, by way of scheduled pre planned visits that will fit in with your production needs.
We can supply replacement dust encapsulation rubber at 2mm thick to satisfy your requirements, straight grip strip & grip strip corners. A high temperature dust encapsulation rubber is also available to suit asphalt and other high temperature applications. We also offer a fitting service for dust sealing systems.
Stocked in a variety of grades, polyethylene covers a wide spectrum of uses from cutting boards to high wear conveyor machinery applications. Typical properties include its low coefficient of friction, temperature range and outstanding impact strength, as well as its excellent resistance to abrasion.
Polyethylene also makes Ideal wear liners for hoppers and silos when material flow and rat holing is a problem. When used as a lining material it can greatly increase the throughput of material being processed. Due to the low coefficient of friction.
Available in sheet form, or in cut pieces in various thicknesses. P/U is commonly used for budget priced scraper blades on Conveyor equipment mainly Mobile plant.
Polyurethane can also be cast to produce items for the Mining and Quarrying industries. Some of which are:
Other engineering plastics that are available are:
Used widely in the bulk handling industry, from quarrying to mining, impact bars are an important part of Spillage Control Systems at conveyor load and transfer points. Impact bars unlike conveyor rollers, which eventually break or seize and act like a brake, support and absorb the impact of heavy, often sharp material, not the conveyor belt; the low friction polyethylene surface allows the conveyor belt to continue moving freely, preventing unnecessary damage to the conveyor belt or drive motor.
Easy to fit, with no moving parts, impact bars can be individually replaced, improve the working environment through reduced noise and offer a relatively quick return on investment; when you consider the cost of lost production through downtime, repairing or replacing conveyor belts and on-going spillage clean up costs.
WSS can supply you with Linatex cut end & engineered hoses in 5 or 10mtr lengths, Gaskets, Couplings & preformed bends.
Bespoke moulded polyurethane wear parts for process equipment. Manufactured from hard wearing P/U in various shore hardness’s depending on the application and material being processed.
By utilising WSS pipe repair bandage, effective repairs can be carried out in emergency situations for example holed or slit pipes. The end result can offer long term protection at temperatures of up to 250 degrees celsius and at pressures ranging from 10 bar (150psi) to 50 bar (725psi) if used in conjunction with WSS steel metal repair stick. The pipe repair bandage seals effectively after only 5 minutes, with full cure after 30minutes. Available in 4.6mtrs long x 100mm wide to suit pipe bores of 15mm to 400mm. WSS pipe repair bandage is used extensively in industrial and marine environments where high performance and reliability are key.
A common problem can occur when the grade of skirt rubber is too hard, or when old conveyor belt is cut down and used for skirting. Grooves are often worn into the belt leading to severe damage, or in the worst case, belt failure. This risk can be greatly reduced by using a 50 shore hardness skirt rubber that is available in thicknesses, 6mm, 10mm and 15mm & supplied in roll lengths of 10mtrs.
Let WSS take the hassle out of sourcing those solutions and items that are hard and time consuming to find. With our industry and product knowledge, coupled together with an extensive network of contacts we can source and supply the most varied of products at competitive prices.
Available in various thicknesses from 15mm to 50mm in either full sheets 2mtrs x 1mtr or cut pieces to suit your requirements, we also stock wear tiles 300 x 300 x 25+5 c/w with centre fixing hole to suit M12. Steel backed rubber is commonly used for chute and hopper lining, screen feed impact plates and screen discharge liners. Steel backed rubber offers quick installation usually secured with nuts and bolts plus easy maintenance which can be carried out on site without the need to worry about the weather conditions, when traditional cold bonding methods would be weather dependant.
We can offer different grades of wear rubber from 40 > 65 shore hardness and thickness’s -2mm, 3mm, 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm & 25mm, to suit all your requirements. Whether you require strips of conveyor skirt rubber, gaskets, seals or washers we can accommodate your needs. Wear rubber can also be supplied with a bonding layer, together with all necessary metal primers and adhesives needed to carry out rubber to metal bonding. We also offer hot bonded rubber that is cured in a steam autoclave for applications where cold bonding methods fall short of the mark.
Material can be supplied in either cut pieces or full rolls (usually 1400mm wide x 10mtrs long).
We can also supply cut pieces and full rolls of premium Linatex Rubber.
